Almost done and gone!
July 4th, 2007
Counting down the days to our departure. 11 more to go. There is one little part missing for GreenGo, and its tires need replacing, but we are really hopeful we’ll be on our way on the 15th.
In the meantime, all I can do is tend to the aesthetics, so under my command, and with Surik’s help, GreenGo is getting some embellishments!

How to do this in 20 steps!
Bet you can do it in about 13 or less though.. :)
1)Draw a graphic
2)Pat yourself on the back for how talented you are
3)Transfer it onto the computer to overlay it over an image of the car.
4)Print to scale
5)Cut out a positive stencil
6)Get a backache
7)Get a pity massage
8)Cover the area of the car you want the graphic on with Frisket Paper
9)Place the stencil on the Frisket Paper and trace the edges with a marker
10)Get really exited because you think you are almost done
11)Remove the stencil and cut out the graphic using a scalpel
12)Get frustrated because you just realized you are not even close to the end
13)Remove the Frisket Paper from where the paint is going to go
14)Realize you scratched the car with the scalpel!
15)Tape off the area around the graphic you don’t want paint on
16)Get really scared because you realize you really like this car and don’t want to ruin the paint job that you applied yourself so lovingly, with a roller, not two month ago.
17)Play the “you do it!”-”No, you do it!” game with your husband
18)Give up, and just spray… Spray… Spray…
19)Let dry. (whoever said that watching paint dry is boring, never painted anything they cared about).
20)Remove the rest of the Frisket Paper and bask in the glory… :)
